A sketch comedy competition and charity benefit.
The purpose of the International Sketch Comedy Competition is to showcase the talent of some of the world’s best sketch comedy talent and give them exposure to the entertainment industry and the general public.
This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!
There will be 3 tryout shows across the country:
September 6, 2007 - Chicago at the Barrel of Laughs Comedy Club
August 28, 2007 – New York City at the NYC Laugh Factory
September 11, 2007 - Hollywood, CA Laugh Factory
Finals:
Due to the high volume of industry attendance the finals will be held at the Hollywood, California Laugh Factory on September 25, 2007 with a Laugh Factory celebrity judges panel and host.

Showcasing the best sketch comedy troupes to the industry and the public. The event will be taped for a television pilot, and a portion of proceeds are to benefit charity. Selected groups will perform on stage in Los Angeles, and the winners of the 2006 International Sketch Comedy ChampionshipTM will receive a representation contract from a Los Angeles-based comedy booking agency, and other prizes. Selected groups may be offered a chance to be taped for television. Participation in the taping is not mandatory, nor will it affect judging.
